Technologies and means of raw materials processing and waste disposal

About the direction

     The purpose and objectives are to create new technologies in the field of mineral processing, which include:

  • development of theoretical and technological foundations for the creation of a new powder metallurgy industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which allows producing competitive products from substandard mineral raw materials (including waste from metallurgical and energy production);
  •   production of general-purpose construction products, which will reduce the import of similar products from near and far abroad by at least 50%.

     The research is aimed at developing the theoretical foundations of technological processes for the production of molded products by powder metallurgy methods from crushed mineral raw materials of various origins (metal powders, alumina and silica masses, waste from metallurgical and thermal power production in the form of slags, ashes, etc.).
     Equipment of the direction:

  •    Melting induction furnace UIP-3-440-0,0005;
  •    Induction installation type UPI-120-2;
  •   Vibramax 100/110 type Orbital Shaker;
  •   Press HYDROPRESS 50;
  •    Emission spectrometer DFS-71;
  •  Vickers Microhardness tester ISOSCAN OD;
  •   Scanning electron microscope Tescan Vega\\ with an INCA microprobe for microrentgenospectral analysis.

        Cooperation:

  •     DGP “Chemical and Metallurgical Institute named after Zh.Abishev”;
  • Mashzavod No. 1 LLP;
  • JSC «ArcelorMitall Temirtau».
