Creation of systems for monitoring the stability of mountain massifs

About the direction

      The purpose and objectives are to create new technologies in the field of mineral deposits development.
The efficiency and safety of mining operations in the development of mineral deposits is ensured by solving the following tasks:

  • investigations of physico — mechanical, geometric, deformation, rheological and technological properties of rocks and mineral massifs;
  • evelopment of methods for calculating the stress-strain state of a rock mass during mining operations;
  • development of technological schemes of extraction and optimal parameters of mining operations.

              Direction equipment:

  • Electronic tomography and geo-scanning system;
  • Geoinformation system for solving the problems of complex development of mineral resources;
  • Geoinformation system for geological surveying support of mining operations «SAMARA»;
  • Digital photogrammetric station Leica Geosystems Suite and IMAGINE;
  • GPS system 1200;
  • GPS system 1200 rover;
  •    Electronic total station;
  •  Electronic laser 3D scanner.

Scientific supervisor

Ozhigin Dmitry Sergeevich

      He has been working at the Department of MDIG as a senior lecturer since 2001, Candidate of Technical Sciences, (2006), associate professor. Graduate of the Department of MDIG (1988). Lectures on 5 disciplines in which EOS are prepared.

      Author of 7 standard training programs. He has over 50 scientific publications, conducts active scientific and pedagogical activities.

      He is the head of the Research Institute «Surveying, Geomechanics and geometrization of the subsoil». Awarded the «Miner’s Glory» badge of the 3rd degree.
