Objectives and tasks of the laboratory

The Test laboratory of engineering profile «Complex development of mineral resources”» (TLEP «CDMR») on the based of the Karaganda
State Technical University was established by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 15, 2007 and the decision of the Academic Council dated March 30, 2007 Protocol No. 12.

Objectives of TLEP«CDMR»:

    • providing access for conducting scientific research by domestic and foreign scientists;
    • providing access for conducting scientific research by doctoral students, undergraduates and students;
    • provision of research and development works by the subjects of scientific and scientific-technical activity.

Priority tasks of TLEP «CDMR»:

    • assistance in the implementation of scientific and scientific and technical programs and projects, including fundamental, applied in priority areas of scientific and technological development, assistance in the preparation of master’s, doctoral dissertations in the relevant field of scientific areas and the involvement of students in research and development works;
    • dissemination of new knowledge and technologies;
    • conducting joint scientific research with domestic and foreign universities and research centers;
    • creation of conditions for the commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities;
    • effective use of instruments and equipment for solving problems of a scientific and scientific-technical nature in the mining industry, geology and metallurgy;
    • participation in international scientific and technical activities.

Laboratory functions:

  • develops and improves methods and programs, regulatory and technological documents for research and development works;
  • provides methodological and consulting assistance in research and development works;
  • provides methodological and consulting assistance in conducting marketing research, pilot testing of new samples of products, materials and technological processes;
  • performs design, engineering, survey and expert work;
  • ensures high efficiency of the work carried out, monitors the timely and high-quality implementation of research work in accordance with the approved tasks and programs;
  • collects, stores and systematizes information on research and development works performed in compliance with the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the protection of intellectual property rights, for the protection of state and commercial secrets;
  • conducts advanced training of employees of TEPL “CDMR”, as well as training and retraining of personnel.
